The first meeting of the newly constituted committee of CGEE/UOJ
The first meeting of the newly constituted committee of CGEE /UOJ was held physically and virtually on the 20th of January 2021 at the University board room from 11 AM to 1.30 PM. The Vice-Chancellor chaired this meeting. Academic members of the pioneer committee were invited to share their experiences as pioneer members who facilitated the CGEE in our University. Vice-Chancellor appreciated pioneer committee members, then announced the names of the new members. Chairpersons were nominated for four committees of CGEE such as Education & Research Committee, Grievance Committee, Working Committee, and Resource Mobilization Committee. UGC correspondence regarding the GEE and the status of the GEE standing committee and its progress was also deliberated. Members also examined the previous committee members’ status reports on received complaints about further follow-ups. Furthermore, the previous committee gave awareness about the pilot test of the Emergency Safety App, developed by the UGC with the assistance of the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka. Finally, the committee discussed plans for future programmes and activities.
